About the Profession
Cooking is a secondary profession that allows players to combine various ingredients such as fish or meat into delicious foods or drinks that can be consumed to restore life and mana, as well as to grant combat bonuses. This skill is often married to Fishing, as increasing the latter's level always provides the necessary materials for Cooking.
To cook, you will need to find a campfire – and have the necessary ingredients, of course. Several hosts and cooking coaches have a campfire for cooking, a brazier, or some other tool needed for cooking near them. If you are out of a city, you can always create your own Fire to Cook – a skill you gain when you learn Cooking. Regardless of the locality, your food will be delicious and completely able to provide one of the well-fed bonuses, its robustness dependent on the level of food you ate.
Check out our BFA Fishing Guide (1-175) if you want to upar your Fishing as well. If you don't have this profession, it's good to see if you have enough gold to buy the ingredients, because you'll need a lot of them.
Cooking Coaches in BFA
In Battle For Azeroth, so you can learn the new recipes just go learn common instructor in the city of your faction. The profession is the same in both, the only difference is the name between them. While for the Alliance the name of the profession is Kul Tiraz's Cooking, for the Horde the name is Zandalar's Cuisine.
The coaches are located in the capitals Boralus and Zandalar, you can find them at:
- Alliance: You can find "Captain" Bira Saco de Farinha at the Merchant Wind Warehouse in Boralus (71.23, 10.72).
- Horde: You can find T'sarah, the Royal Chef in the kitchen behind the mission desk.
Or you can also talk to some guard in Boralus or Dazar'alor and ask where the Alchemy coach is. This will add a marker to your minimap.
All Cooking recipes in BFA have 3 ranks. Rank 2 reduces the materials needed to create a recipe, and rank 3 has a chance to create extra dishes. Higher rank recipes also give skill points for much longer, so it will be much cheaper to upar cooking if you are revered with the new factions of bfa because you can use cheaper recipes for longer.
Unlock World Missions
Some of rank 3's recipes are blocked and can only be obtained through World Missions. You don't need to reach 175 to get them, but you'll save gold if you can.
Reagents Needed to upgo the profession
You can extract aromatic fish oil from any BFA fish. You need to right-click on the captured fish and it will convert it into oil.
Fish don't come from more than one specific zone. Instead, you can find 3 types of fish in the Kul Tiraz zones, 3 in zandalar zones, 2 in Nazjatar, 1 in Mechagon and you can fish 2 specific in all zones.
1 to 35
50 to 75
Make 25 of one of these three:
- 25x Spicy Tenderloin
- 25x Ham Roasted with Honey
- 25x Sailor's Pie
If you make Spicy Tenderloin, don't sell them. Sometimes you can use them for Warfront Contributions missions when warfonts are finished.
These meats are usually very cheap, so I recommend switching to these dishes at 50, but if they are expensive in your kingdom, it is better to increase the Tiramisu Kul to rank 2 up to about lvl75. As a rule, if 1 Aromatic fish oil costs almost the same as these meats, then you should make the Kul Tiramisu because even if you have to create 2-3 for a skill point, you will still need 4-6 fish oil instead of the 10 meats.
75 to 140
Learn rank 2 recipes from your instructor. Make about 120 of one of these three recipes:
- 80x Spicy Tenderloin (Rank 2)
- 80x Ham Roasted with Honey (Rank 2)
- 80x Sailor's Pie (Rank 2)
These recipes will stay green in the last 10 points, so you'll need to do some more of these.
If you got the 3 rank recipe from any of the above, then you can make them up to 150. If you don't, you can get them as follows:
- Recipe: Honey Roasted Ham – World Mission Reward: "Order of Service: Honey-Roasted Ham" (this sometimes appears randomly on your map);
- Recipe: Spicy Tenderloin – Requires Revered with Tortollan Pilgrims. Sold by The Kojo Collector;
- Recipe: Sailor's Pie – World Mission Reward: "Order of Service: Sailor's Pie" (this appears sometimes randomly on your map).
140 to 155
You can make other recipes, but this should be the cheapest.
155 to 175
Learn the rank 2 of the Rissole Frito Abissal recipe
And that's it. If you've followed here, I'm sure you've achieved level 175 of BFA cuisine. I hope you enjoyed this translation! =D
